| Note that the AC panels and DC panels are completely isolated aboard
Botany Bay. In fact they are several feet apart. I try to run the 110V
wiring in separate runs from the 12V wiring.
There are two 110V AC systems aboard, the primary system runs through the inverter then to the primary AC panel and then to the rest of the vessel. The secondary AC panel was installed in Maryland where the winters are cold. The secondary panel is wired directly to a second shore power connector, each circuit breaker feeds a single 110V outlet, all wire in the secondary system is 10 gauge. This system is intended for large resistive loads which should not be backed up by the inverter. |
