| After 25 years chainplates are always suspect. It is often less expensive to have new ones made than to X-Ray the existing chainplates. The original upper chainplates were deemed insufficient in thickness and beefed up when new ones were made. The lower chainplates were considered acceptable and replaced with identical assemblies. |
