Splashing Botany Bay at Windward Yacht Center 2012
She came out of the water on a Thursday afternoon at about 2pm and went back in 11 days later on Monday about 2pm.

The travel lifts at Windward are run by wireless remote control!

The last of the bottom paint (other than the bottom of the keel) went on the previous Thursday so it is nice and dry at this point.

Note that the original "sling here" marks are not quite in the right place. Windward added new marks to help them pick her up in the future.

Here is a good view, with the sling just aft of the keel the stern tube is still well clear of the lift point.

Here is the other side ob the boat. There is no hull window on this side close to the aft hoist point.

Heading out over the water

Out on the ways.

In she goes!

As soon as she settled into the water I was aboard, there are 18 seacocks to check below the waterline, the new dripless stuffing box, it's vent line, the new studs holding plate zincs, the new depth sounder, and the blanking plug for the knotmeter. Everything was dry and so we moved her out of the slings and kept an eye on all of these places for an hour before heading over to the fuel dock where I took on 130 gallons of fuel before heading back to Redondo Beach.
