Navigation Lights | Masthead | Aqua Signal Series 40 Tricolor/Anchor with detachable base (40706-7). The removable base makes servicing much easier by just removing it from the top of the mast, working on it on the deck and reinstalling it when finished. I use a 25W tricolor and a 10W anchor light.
Steaming Light/ Foredeck Light |
Aqua Signal with 25W steaming light and 50W halogen foredeck light. The foredeck light is also known as the "weenie roaster" as you could cook hot dogs on the foredeck with this thing. It is great for picking up moorings as it lights up the water about 15 feet in front of the boat but does not blind the person on the helm. Also useful for repairs at sea in the middle of the night on the foredeck!
Bow Lights | Perko Chrome lights. (0963DP). For some reason these lights give me no end of trouble. I replaced them some time ago with the more modern bulb system but they still require quite a bit of maintenance to keep them operating. Generally corrosion if the contacts or the bulb cracked.
Stern Light | Perko Chrome light (0945DPCHR), the same comments apply to this light as for the deck level bow lights above.

Ditch Bag | Additional components for life raft including paddles fishing kit, and the like. Not packed with the life raft to help keep the weight reasonable (don't believe that adrenalin will help you move a 95 pound life raft, try it with a broken arm or a light weight crew member).

||||
Discharge Pump | SeaLand 12V SaniPump 270GPH (317301200)
Y-Valve | NONE! With two separate fittings for removing waste this becomes unnecessary, the head goes straight to the tank, then the waste is removed as necessary.
